1. Antony and Cleoptra - World's Famous Love Story

Out of the countless sagas of love stories, one that stirs our senses is Anthony and Cleoptra. It is a true test of Love and epitomizes that love is another name of sacrifice. Cleopatra was an an enchanting pharaoh of Egypt and Antony, was a audacious General. Their Love story is glorious that is shrouded with mystique. For centuries Cleopatra is remembered as a most beautiful woman. She was a seductress, femme fatale, an accomplished mathematician and was skilled in nine languages. Married to her younger brother Ptolemy, she became mistress of famous emperor Julius Caesar. After his death, General Marc Anthony rose to power. Cleopatra instantly fell in love with him and before they could even realize they were embracing each other. Although their love outraged Romans and bothered Roman politicians, as they were against their union and were suspicious of Egypt's power. Together they exemplified power at its best. They aimed to rule the Rome. Despite all the pressure and criticism, Cleopatra and Anthony eloped in 36 B.C.

But their love story was doomed to failure. While fighting a battle in Actium, Roman General Octavian destroyed the dynamic force of Cleopatra and Anthony. While battling Anthony was alarmed by the false news of Cleopatra's death. Anthony fell on his sword and died. Cleopatra when learned about his death was grief-stricken, it was the end of her world. She decided to take her life and committed suicide by getting bitten by a venomous cobra snake.
