4. John Alden and Priscilla Mullins - World's Famous Love Story

A love triangle, revolving around John Alden and Priscilla Mullins and Standish, seems straight from the story books. The twists and turns of this love story is not a run of a mill thing. In today's time, it can be a perfect script of big Hollywood blockbuster film.

The immortal love story of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins was set in 16th century BC. It's said to be the one of the earliest romances in American colonies, Mayflower. Standish, was a virile and courageous captain. He believed in actions are louder than words. He fell for beautiful maiden Priscilla Mullins. However, as much ruff and tuff he was from outside, fearsome battles he has won, but when it came to vocalize his love for Mullins, he felt shy and unnerving.

Standish took help of a young Saxon John Alden to convey his love for Priscilla, the loveliest lady of maiden Plymouth. Blond, blue eyed, articulate, charming and youthful John Alden fell in love with Mullins the very moment he saw her. Priscilla too fell in love with John Arden. Afraid of the anger of Standish they kept their budding under wraps. Later, when they heard the news of his death, both of them tied the knot. Then the real twist in their love story occurred when it was learnt that Standish was not killed. But unexpectedly, he gave newly weds his blessings and John and Priscilla lived happily ever after.
